Meet Jon

Jon Curran is 22 years old. He was born and raised in Hopkinton, MA. He graduated from Hopkinton high school in 2005 and in May 2009 from Vanderbilt University where he earned All-American honors.

Jon’s introduction to the game came by way of chipping and putting at The Framingham Country Club in Framingham, MA at age three with his father who was an avid golfer.

Jon was a local and regional high school champion voted the Massachusetts Junior Golfer of the year for three consecutive years. Jon also won on the national scene several times and as a junior standout was ranked 4th nationally in his senior year in high school.

In 2005 Jon entered Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN after being recruited by many colleges and universities. Jon holds the Vanderbilt 54 hole (-15) and 72 hole (-4) scoring records and his 8th place finish at the 2007 NCAA D-1 national tournament is the highest finish in the NCAA finals in Vanderbilt history. While at Vanderbilt Jon had one tournament victory and finished in the top five on numerous occasions. He also earned several Southeastern Conference honors and was a top ranked amateur before starting his professional career.

When Jon was 16 he held the Framingham Country Club course scoring record of 62 (-10) and at age 21 set the new record of 61 (-11).

Jon now lives in Orlando, Florida.
